PersonalityJasmine is playful, energetic, sweet and lazy. She can be energetic when you want her to be, and lazy any other time. She loves other dogs, excluding a select few. She thinks she is a total Chihuahua Princess. She's spoiled and loves cheese. If you take her rope away, watch out! She'll want to tug with you. She loves going on car rides and loves her walks. She loves her brother and sister kittens and does defend them from strange dogs. If she doesn't get her way, she mopes around and little old ladies love to pet her.
Everyone seems to love her, the only enemy she has is our landlord, but she doesn't like him either. She gets along with most dogs, but like people, there are a few she doesn't like, but they are extremely rare. She doesn't like small children, or anyone being overly excited (say, for example, guys watching a football game, she'd have to leave the room or the house). She knows that if she begs, she'll get attention (smart little devil!). She knows to sit, stay, lay down, beg and dance (we are still working on come). She also knows (which she picked up from Sheila), that if we tell her to go lay down, she'll get a drink of water. We can't scold her for that. Jasmine was adopted from a local animal shelter. We had just lost our previous dog, Blue, two months prior. We took a few weeks to decide if we really wanted another dog, but Jasmine's picture and bio wouldn't stop haunting us. So, on August 23rd, 2007, we called the shelter and told them that we would love to have Jasmine, they told us to fill out the online application and that night, we had the choice of getting her right then or waiting until morning (Saturday, then). We couldn't wait, we got her right then. We met them halfway, and found out that we were adopting her on her birthday! It was meant to be, WE were meant to have her. |
misc. She is 13 years old and was born on August 23rd, 2005.
At the end of June 2017, a lump was found on her liver. She was on medication for a month to calm her liver down enough to do a biopsy on the lump. It was found to be a fatty tumor, brought on by age. She's on medication to keep her liver calm until her liver no longer responds to the medication. An alternative is to go to Nashville, about 3 hours away one way, to do a complete surgery to remove the tumor. However, it could come back, and with her age and the chance it could come back, we opted out of doing the surgery. Duke is Jasmine's owner. Void is Jasmine's owner. Sheila is Jasmine's youngest sister. Nova is Jasmine's younger sister. Sukki is Jasmine's younger brother. Breed
